On June 26, 2026, the Proactive Health Management Center of the Affiliated Hospital of Shijiazhuang Medical College was officially inaugurated and commenced operations. The unveiling ceremony was attended by officials from relevant competent authorities, representatives from peer hospitals, experts and scholars in the field of sports-medicine integration, corporate representatives, and members of the media.

This center represents a significant initiative by Hebei Province to respond to the "Healthy China 2030" blueprint and implement the strategic shift from a disease-centered approach to one centered on people's health. Leveraging the clinical resources of the Affiliated Hospital of Shijiazhuang Medical College-a Grade III general hospital-and the advantages of medical-educational integration, the center's first phase covers an area of 500 square meters. It comprises five functional zones: a comprehensive sports health clinic, a proactive health response center, a health education and outreach center, a personnel training platform, and a scientific research platform. The facility is equipped with standardized health assessment and training equipment, including health risk screening systems, intelligent body assessment systems, passive resistance training machines, and exercise safety monitoring systems.

Hospital President Zhang Xia
Kang Yanjun, Deputy Director of the Department of Orthopedics, explained that the Proactive Health Management Center will provide post-screening intervention guidance for healthy individuals, perioperative exercise rehabilitation support, and continuous health follow-up services for chronic diseases. Leveraging an information platform, the center will dynamically record health data and conduct online follow-ups, while establishing a tiered, phased health management service workflow.

The province is home to several demonstration service institutions integrating sports and medicine; the establishment of this center will further expand the regional supply of proactive health services. The center also plans to join a "health consortium," collaborating with community health service centers, property management companies, and sports and wellness organizations to facilitate a coordinated "hospital-community-home" tiered health service model.
Following the unveiling ceremony, attendees toured the center's various functional areas and participated in a seminar on proactive health, engaging in discussions regarding the integration of sports and medicine and the development of proactive health service systems.

Regarding health services, the center offers the general public health education and lifestyle intervention services-such as guidance on exercise regimens, nutritional advice, and mental health counseling. In terms of integrated in-hospital medical support, the center leverages the hospital's clinical departments to provide services such as perioperative rehabilitation guidance and continuous health follow-ups for patients with chronic diseases.
The Affiliated Hospital of Shijiazhuang Medical College stated that it would use the center's inauguration as an opportunity to explore a new model of proactive health management based on medical-educational collaboration in Hebei Province, continuously refine its integrated sports-and-medicine service system, and contribute to the "Healthy Hebei" initiative.
