Breaking with conventional protocols, they scheduled the Cesarean section directly within the catheterization laboratory - an environment equipped for interventional procedures - to ensure immediate, zero-delay emergency response capabilities in the event of potentially fatal massive hemorrhage. Ultimately, they won a "proactive defense" battle to save a life by successfully averting a crisis before it could fully unfold.
Robust Capabilities in Emergency and Critical Care
The hospital's Emergency Department boasts an ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) team that has successfully treated dozens of critical cases. In a notable instance, the team engaged in inter-hospital collaboration to successfully administer VV-ECMO therapy to a critically ill patient suffering from hemorrhagic shock and cardiac arrest. The patient subsequently recovered and was discharged, a testament to the hospital's comprehensive strength in managing complex, difficult, and critical emergency cases.
